Shackleton Expedition

We embarked on an unforgettable educational journey as I transformed my outdoor classroom into the icy realm of explorer Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic expedition. Through a meticulously crafted simulation, where we pushed lifeboats (sleds), crossed the icy pond to get to "Elephant Island", and ate (stuffed) penguins when necessary; students experienced the challenges and triumphs of exploration, fostering a hands-on learning adventure that left a lasting impact on their understanding of history and resilience.
